Description
The National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of SecureTransportation (OST) is seeking possible vendors for training in Emergency and Off-Road driving. We are soliciting interested Drive Training Schools to identify training courses that may meet our drive training requirements below. The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), and invitation for bid (IFB) or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the United States Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the government as a result of information submitted in response to the sources sought announcement. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not indicative of a full requirement. Should a full requirement arise, the full requirement will be detailed in the solicitation, if issued. For questions please contact Mara Wild, Phone: 505.845.5142or email: mwild@doeal.gov Offensive and Off-Road Drive Training NAICS: 611692 Business Size: Small CLIN 0001 Passenger Vehicles - Serpentine - Skid pad with different weather scenarios - High Speed Backing - Avoidance Skills - Emergency Braking - High Speed Driving - Ramming (forward and backwards) etc. - Driving techniques for countering ambushes - Mobility Training CLIN 0002 Tractor-Trailer - Emergency Tractor-Trailer maneuvers - Serpentine - Skid pad with different weather scenarios - Avoidance Skills - Emergency Braking - Driving techniques for countering ambushes CLIN 0003 Off-Road Driving - Maneuvering vehicles in and around ditches, sand, mud, over obstacles (rocks, logs, etc), steep inclines, declines, and proper winch operations Drive Training school will have to allow OST to use government vehicles due to mission requirements except for Ramming applications. OSTs experienced CDL drivers will need hands on practical application. Interested parties should be prepared to send complete training course packet to include the following information: Training schedule / length of training Cost per person Location of training Meals and Housing Quarters if optional Training gear and clothing needed Additional costs for different courses to include ramming course with Schools Training vehicles.
