- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, for Other than Full and Open Competition and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Mission & Installation Contracting Command Directorate of Contracting Aberdeen Proving Ground, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following item (s): Various Stainless Steel Fittings and Valves for manufacture, maintenance & repair of various testing systems within the PET Group. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements, the Government intends to award a sole source contract to Marketing International Corp, 201 S Edgewood St, Arlington, VA, 22204. The Government will consider all responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order base d upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may contact the Mission and Installation Contracting Command Directorate of Contracting Aberdeen Proving Ground, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, 21005. All responsible parties should submit queries to this requirement to Mr. Wallace (david.wallace@conus.army.mil) by close of business December 22, 2008. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
