Description
Installation of 100% Exhaust Environmental Controlled Spray Booth. The 327 th ASW located at Tinker AFB, OK is requesting information and conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of installing a 100% Exhaust Environmental Controlled Spray Booth. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: This is not a request for proposal. This is a request for information only. All information received will be used for planning purposes only. It does not constitute a request for proposal nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The contracting officer does not intend to award a contract on the basis of your response or otherwise pay for the preparation of any information presented or the use of any such information. All proprietary information should be marked as such. Interested parties capable of providing the described services are invited to submit a statement of capability and rough order of magnitude (ROM) by 4:00 PM CST, 23 January 2009 to the POC, frederic.veal@tinker.af.mil. Please include the following: contractor name, mailing address, telephone number fax number, e-mail address, DUNS number, CAGE code, and business size (i.e. small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), woman-owned, veteran-owned, service disabled veteran-owned, or large business.) Project Description : Coating Application Requirements : (1) The proper application of Aluminum Ceramic coatings requires a contaminant free work area as well as temperature and humidity controls. Atmospheric controls are essential to production of quality coated components. (2) The 100% outside air spray booth ensures consistent and quality application of Aluminum Ceramic coatings. The design of the spray booth takes different geographical areas into consideration to provide a uniform interior environment regardless of the surroundings. (3) Dual stage intake filtration of outside air maintains a clean room environment to assure a contaminant free coating application. (4)This spray booth has the advantage of being designed in accordance with the process specifications for the next generation of Aluminum Ceramic coatings. (5)The spray booth complies with all safety and health requirements as dictated by OSHA, NFPA and NEC. Each booth is designed to meet the local, state and federal environmental regulations in the location of installation. Spray Booth Components: Dehumidification System •a. 100% Outside Air Intake •b. Specifically designed for geographical location of spray booth installation. •c. Climate controlled environment using 100% outside air with the capability to maintain environments on design days of 45% RH +/- 2% to 65% RH +/- 2% and a temperature of 65 o F to 75 o F. •d. Dual stage filtration for clean room environment. Control Panel •a. Touch Screen Control •b. PLC Programmed •c. Modem capability for off-site support •d. Digital static pressure gages. Enclosure •a. Constructed of insulated metal panels •b. Multi-cell capability for variety of components Humidifiers •a. State of the Art, gas or electric fired humidification system. Other: Safety •a. Compliant with OSHA Standard for Spray Booths. Environmental •a. Particulate Matter Capture •b. VOC Abatement Quality •a. Precise air flow for maximum control with VFD. Specifications: (1)19' x 6' climate controlled working area with a 6'x 6' attached Drying Room with sliding doors. (2) Overall footprint of 27' 3 ½" x 6' 7" (3)One (1) 5000 cfm Exhaust Fan with speed control to maintain a min air velocity of 125 FPM. (4) 6,000 cfm 100% Outside Air Dehumidification System with electric heat. System capable of maintaining 45 RH +/- 2% @ 75 deg F on a design day in Oklahoma City. (5)Balancing dampers and transitions. (6)One (1) 400 lb./hour electric steam humidifier with Vapor Logic Data Processor capable of maintaining up to 60% RH. (7)Two (2) - 3' access doors with windows. (8)One (1) - 8' double doors with windows. (9)Two (2) - retractable hose reels, airline solenoids, air regulators/filters and all required hardware and accessories. (10)Three (3) Hi Output light fixtures with emergency backup. (11)Control Cabinet with operator interface for the booth and drying room with data logging capabilities. (12) Appropriate particulate filtration of Aluminum Ceramic coatings to 95% efficiency at 10-micron particles. (13)Activated carbon filtration system for Aluminum Ceramic coatings VOC emission compliance. (14)175 deg F +/- 25 deg F Drying Room compliant with Aluminum Ceramic coating application specifications. To be provided by User: (1)Unloading all equipment from trucks, with the exception of the Dehumidification Units. (2)Permits. (3)Preparation of area to accommodate Spray Booth and associated equipment. (4)Concrete pad or roof support structure for Remote Outside Dehumidification System. (5)Disposal of packaging and discarded materials. (6)Floor sealing, if necessary. (7)Electrical power supplied within 20 feet of Spray Booth, Humidification System and Remote Dehumidification System. (8)Water supply within 20 feet of Spray Booth, Humidification System. (9)Compressed air supplied within 20 feet of Spray Booth (Specifications to follow. (10)Provide drain for condensate. (11)Breathing airline, if required, within 20 feet of Spray Booth.
