- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN 6) Central Acquisition Service intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Hologic, Inc. The place of performance will be in Fayetteville, North Carolina for a performance period of one year. The procurement is to provide diagnostic and repair service services, scheduled maintenance, labor, replacement parts, consumables (glassware), computer updates, and necessary training on a Lorad digital mammography unit located at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The procurement will include two (2) annual maintenance inspections on the Lorad digital mammography unit at the VAMC in Fayetteville, NC. This procurement will also include, but is not limited to, periodic software upgrades and calibration of equipment to keep it in good working order. The NAICS code 334517 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
