- Description
- The Northern Region of the Forest Service is soliciting for multiple award contracts for general road, bridge, and structure work on Forest Service roads throughout the Region. Work may be performed in Northern Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and the NW cover of South Dakota. Work includes repair, maintenance and construction of native surface, gravel or paved roads; road repair and reconstruction due to flood damage; road decommissioning; repair, maintenance and construction of steel, concrete and timber road bridges; repair, maintenance and construction of trail bridges located near trail heads; repair, maintenance, and construction of various other structures such as aquatic passage culverts, bottomless arches, road surface drainage such as dips and roadside channeling, small bridges, retaining walls, and cattle guards; and ancillary features associated with the above work will also be included. These are safety features (signs and guardrail); closure devices (gates), fence work, stream grade and alignment control and scour protection work. Awarded contracts will be for a base period, with an option of 4 renewal periods. Three pre-proposal meetings will be held during the solicitation period. Place, date, and time of each meeting will be noted in the solicitation. Estimated value of each award is $1 million per year with a not to exceed value of $5 Million over the life of the contract.
