- Description
- The Navy Manufacturing Technology (MANTECH) Program has a requirement to continue shipbuilding and ship repair technology initiatives for the Shipbuilding Technology Center of Excellence (STCOE). The requirement includes: (1) Manage and operate the STCOE; (2) Organize, facilitate and execute a shipbuilding industry-driven project selection process focused on the needs of key Navy ship acquisition programs; (3) Award and manage shipbuilding-related technical projects approved by the ONR Program Officer; (4) Provide support of special projects relating to the COE mission, as required. Special projects may include, but are not limited to, executing Rapid Response projects to quickly meet emergent Navy requirements within the COE's technical area, providing technical and programmatic support to NAVSEA program offices, and completing industry surveys and benchmarking studies; (5) Accomplish the missions assigned by the ONR ManTech Division to the STCOE; (6) Plan, coordinate and conduct outreach activities and projects to increase awareness of the STCOE and disseminate manufacturing technology throughout the nation’s shipyards and industrial base. The STCOE is currently operated by Advanced Technology Institute under contract N00014-03-C-0413. A copy of the solicitation will be attached to this pre-solicitation notice through FedBizOps. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The purpose of this modication/amendment is to attach Amendment 002.
