- The U.S. Army Project Manager for Close Combat Systems along with the ArmyContracting Command Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center, formerly the Joint Munitions & Lethality and Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC), Acquisition Center, is postponing until further notice the XM216 Countermeasure Flare Industry Day posted under special announcement W15QKN-09-Z-0102 scheduled for 13 January 2009. Companies who have already submitted their AMSTA-AR-1350 Questionnaire will be notified as the revised draft Performance Specification becomes available. Interested companies that have not already submitted the AMSTA-AR-1350 Questionnaire may request the revised draft XM216 Performance Specification prior to Industry Day by completing and submitting the AMSTA-AR-1350 to Stephanie Resch JM&L LCMC, ATTN: AMSML-AQ-CC, Bldg 9, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. Requests may also be submitted via email to stephanie.resch@us.army.mil. The XM216 Performance Specification has been labeled as Distribution Statement F: Further dissemination only as directed by SFAE-AMO-CCS, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, 07806-5000, or higher DoD authority. Reproduction requires approval of originator, SFAE-AMO-CCS, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, 07806-5000 or higher DoD authority. As such, interested companies will be required to return the Performance Specification when requested by the Government. This is a Sources Sought Announcement only and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Announcement. Should the Government have a future need a solicitation notice will be published at a later date with more detailed technical requirements provided.
