- The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for repair flight motion simulator and associated components as listed below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13.5, As supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The announcement number is F1T0EB8344A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219 with a size standard of 7 Million dollar. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This is a full and open. The requirement consists of the following items: CLIN 0001, 1 each, Field service to refurbish actuators and rotary joints for several axes on the Carco Five-Axis Flight Motion Simulator (FMS) reference number GO 80666/80912 at Eglin AFB in the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF), Fort Walton Beach, FL. Work will consist of the following: a. Replace seals/o-rings for actuators (and rotary joints, if needed) for the following axes of the FMS: Outer Elevation - readout side Outer Azimuth - readout side Outer Azimuth - opposite side of readout Inner Pitch - opposite side of readout Inner Yaw - readout side b. Diagnose problem with FMS roll drive and refurbish/re-seal the Hartman roll drive motor(s). c. Repairs must be completed with very little or no movement of the outer azimuth and elevation axes. d. Provide field service personnel to complete on-site repair of the FMS axes listed herein. e. Price will include travel, travel time, local transportation, lodging and subsistence. CLIN 0002, 1 each, Field service to perform flush and replacement of hydraulic fluid in the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) for the Carco Five-Axis Flight Motion Simulator reference number GO 80666/80912. Work will consist of the following: a. Drain/clean reservoir and hydraulic lines of the FMS, removing servo valves, filters, etc. as needed. b. Perform complete hydraulic system flush. c. Refill reservoir with new hydraulic fluid and reinstall servo valves, filters, etc. d. Eglin AFB to provide replacement filters and hydraulic fluid. e. Provide field service personnel to complete all refurbishments to the FMS HPU. f. Price will include local transportation, lodging and subsistence. g. Travel and travel time is included in item 1. If work is to be performed at a later date, an additional quotation covering travel will have to be generated. CLIN 0003, 1 each, Repair/replacement of the roll drive for the Carco Five-Axis Flight Motion Simulator reference number GO 80666/80912. Work will consist of the following: a. Repair FMS roll drive by providing any necessary machining or parts, including required bearings. b. Price should include shipment costs to/from Eglin AFB from/to vendor's facility. OPTION TO PURCHASE WHEN FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. CLIN 0004, 1 each, Field service to perform recalibration/re-compensation of the CASCADE digital servo controller (and other system adjustments as needed) for the Carco Five-Axis Flight Motion Simulator reference number GO 80666/80912. Work will consist of the following: a. Recalibrate/Re-compensate and/or make modifications to FMS or CASCADE digital servo controller as needed to ensure proper control of the FMS. b. Provide field service personnel to complete all modifications to the FMS and/or CASCADE system. c. Price will include local transportation, lodging and subsistence. d. Travel and travel time is included in item 1. If work is to be performed at a later date, an additional quotation covering travel will have to be generated. OPTION TO PURCHASE WHEN FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE.
