Description
ADD/ALTER JET ENGINE MAINTENANCE SHOP, HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, OTERO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. This acquisition is a total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned set-aside. Only bids from qualified Service-Disabled Veteran owned small business concerns, qualified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be accepted. Bids received from concerns that are not certified by the VA to participate in the Service-Disabled Veteran program shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1541, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION HAS BEEN AMENDED: Plans will be issued on or about January 6, 2009, with bids due on or about February 6, 2009. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. THE PROJECT consists of the alteration of the existing Jet Engine Maintenance Shop, Building 800, with interior alterations for a properly sized and configured shop in support of the F-22 Beddown. This project includes interior demolition; a new bridge crane with hoists, new hoists to an existing bridge crane, toilet renovations with new interior finishes, existing overhead door modifications, and chemically resistive shop floor coating. The support utilities include modifications to the existing water, electricity, gas, sanitary and storm sewer, fire protection, and communications/data cable, conduits, and coordination. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. BIDDERS MUST BE REGISTERED with Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government Contract award. To register, the CCR Internet address is: http://www.ccr.gov. Additionally, a paper form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only. Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
