- Shearing Machine, Metal, Power Driven, Hydraulic, ASME B5.56M-1994 PURCHASE SPECIFICATION FOR POWER SHEAR 1.0. Scope. a. This specification describes the minimum requirements for the purchase, delivery to Hill AFB and training of complete, ready-to-use power squaring shear for cutting aircraft aluminum 2024 or 7075 T6 0.125 thick with a cutting length of 120" 2.0. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS Shearing Machines, Metal, Power Driven Mil-S-80220B 9 April 1991 3.0. Acquisition requirements a. Table 1 standard size 6 Table 2 cut length D per ASME B5.56M b. First Article (not required) c. System of units for measuring and indicating devices (inches and pounds) d. 3 copies of the Commercial off-the shelf (COTS) manuals will be provided in English language with this shear e. Electrical requirements: 480 VAC 3ph f. Installation: By Government g. Operational training required **See attached ASME B5.56M and Q & A attachments**
