- The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC), Acquisition Management Directorate, 1681 Nelson Street, Fort Detrick, MD 21702 on behalf of the Bureau of Medicine & Surgery (BUMED) and Naval Hospital Bremerton has a requirement for Research Assistant services in support of an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant proof-of-concept research study of a Medfusion-based architecture. Place of performance will be in the vicinity of the Naval Hospital Bremerton. Contract will be for a two (2) year period. Level of effort is approximately 20 hours per week. The Government envisions that a single award would be made; however, it reserves the right to make no award, if in the best interest of the Government. Offerors are hereby notified that Naval Health Research Center support contractors (not competing for this requirement) may be advisors to the evaluation panel, and by submitting a proposal, the offeror is consenting to such. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The small business size standard for this procurement is a firm with average annual sales or receipts, including all affiliates, for the preceding three years not in excess of $6.5 million under NAICS Code 541990. Proposal shall be due no later than 4:00 pm EST on January 12, 2009. A solicitation will be posted on or about December 11, 2008. Any questions about this requirement must be submitted in writing by December 26, 2008. All proposals shall be sent to the address specified in the solicitation.
