- SYNOPSIS NOTICE The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Okinawa Japan M67400 plans to negotiate a contract to procure on other than full and open competition from Xtend Communications/ Amcom Software Corp., 10400 Yellow Circle Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55343-9102 (UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302). Xtend will be providing E911 Maintenance Support Service for the AC/S G-6 Division. This contract shall be issued through 30 Sept 2009. The E-911 system was purchased from Xtend and has proprietary software that can only be serviced by Xtend Communications. All parts and replacements are covered under warranty and/or maintenance agreements with Xtend Communications/ Amcom Software. This notice is not a request for proposals or quotations; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications for services and be fully operational by 22 December 2008 may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement will be negotiated under the Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR6.3. The Point of Contact for this requirement is Contract Specialist Manetta B.
