Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is conducting a market survey to obtain information on responsible small business (as defined by FAR Part 19) General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) holders. The MARCORSYSCOM Marine Enhancement Program (MEP) is a congressionally conceived and service-funded program that directly supports the Marine Infantryman by improving his combat effectiveness and his quality of life in the field. The primary intent of the MEP advertising effort is to focus the attention of the Marine Corps community and elicit their feedback regarding low-cost, low-visibility materiel solutions that can be rapidly fielded and increase the quality of life for the individual Marine Infantryman across the spectrum of operational environments. In order to gather data from the Marine community throughout the world, the MEP has a requirement to advertise two full pages in a print magazine. The advertisements need to coincide with two events that target Marines: Marine South in Camp LeJeune, NC (March/April 2009 issue) and Modern Day Marine in Quantico, VA (September/October 2009 issue). Each event participant will receive a copy of the magazine. The magazine mu! st promote the interests of the Marine Corps while targeting readers who have an active relationship with the Marine Corps, such as active duty Marines and government /Department of Defense (DOD) employees. MEP will provide the graphics to the magazine. MARCORSYSCOM will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information. Interested parties are requested to submit a response in a Microsoft Office compatible format, not to exceed 2 pages, outlining their ability to meet or exceed the requirements identified above by no later than 2:00 PM EST, 12 December 2008. The response should identify their prime audience, circulation levels and distribution locations, as well as any other pertinent information that demonstrates their ability to communicate with the Marine. Firms should also include their business size/type, GSA contract number, if applicable. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Interested sources shall send responses via e-mail to Penny.Oneil@usmc.mil. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY SERVICES/ITEMS.
