Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and in accordance with procedures described in FAR part 13.1., as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number for this procurement is Generator1 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-29, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice (DCN) 20081124 and Air Force Acquisition Circular (AFAC) 2008-0605. For informational purposes the North American Industry Classification System code is 335312 Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. This acquisition is set-aside 100% Small Business. This is firm-fixed price procurement and will be procured using commercial item procedures and award selection will be made based on price. Description: The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, personnel and all other services required to provide the following computer items in support of US Forces Afghanistan: **BRAND NAME OR EQUAL: EQUAL MUST MEET BRAND NAME SPECIFICATIONS** IF YOU PROVIDE A QUOTE FOR AN EQUIVALENT MODEL YOU MUST SUBMIT SPECIFICATIONS ON YOUR QUOTATION FOR THE GENERATOR YOU ARE QUOTING. FAILURE TO SUBMIT SPECIFICATIONS WILL CAUSE YOUR QUOTE TO BE CONSIDERED NON-RESPONSIVE. 0001 - Caterpillar diesel power generating set model 3456C rated at 500KVA / 400KW Standby or 455 KVA / 364KW Prime (at ISO conditions), 400 / 230 volts, 3 phase, 50 hertz, 0.8 power factor, 1500RPM, with Sound attenuated and weather protective enclosure - 2EA 0002 - Conversion of 3456C from 400 / 230 V, 50 hertz and 1500RPM to 120 / 208 V, 60 hertz and 1800RPM - 2 EA 0003 - Battery Charger for generator - 2 EA 0004 - Jacket Water Heater for generator - 2 EA 0005 - Fuel Water Separator - 2 EA 0006 - Shipping & Handling - 1 LOT Shipping will be to McGuire AFB. The awardee will be given information to coordinate with DCMA for MILAIR shipment to Afghanistan. Again, information required for shipment by MILAIR from McGuire will be provided to the awardee at time of award. The following FAR provisions also apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; Quotes submitted shall contain the following information: Reference number, offeror’s name and contact information, terms of the expressed warranty, price, any discount terms and acknowledgement of all solicitation amendments (if applicable). Quotes shall also contain all other documentation specified herein: Period of Acceptance for Offerors - The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 90 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, unless another time period is stated in an addendum to the solicitation. The following clauses are hereby incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Additional FAR clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are: (b) 5, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, and 31. FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds. Additional DFAR clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are: (a), (b) 20(i) & (iv), and 21 Electronic mail quotations will be accepted. NOTE: ALL OFFERORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED FOR AWARD.
