Description
The purpose of this modification is to post questions and answers related to this solicitation: 1) Clarification is required on the due date for this requirement. Fedbizopps has Dec 5 @ 4PM as the due date and the solicitation has Dec 4 @4pm. Please clarify. Answer: Due date for receipt of proposals is December 5, 2008 at 4 p.m. EST. 2) Question: Would offerors have to have breakers in addition to the breakers provided by the NRC? If additional breakers are needed in addition to the breakers provided by the NRC, how many of each would be required? Answer: Section B.3.3. of the solicitation states the type of circuit breakers that the NRC will provide as part of this requirement. These breakers may be dismantled and rebuilt during the courses, but they must remain functional for the next course (i.e., they cannot be damaged or altered). If an adequate course can be conducted with these four breakers, then the offerors can state as such. However, if the offerors feel additional breakers would need to be acquired (whether medium voltage or otherwise), they must furnish them or provide ample justification for additional NRC purchases-- this course must be able to accommodate 17 students. Additionally, it is expected the breakers (and cubicle) will remain at the contractors facility between courses (shipping these breakers is very expensive and labor intensive). The facilities would include all testing equipment necessary to adequately demonstrate the functionality of the breakers, as well as the required equipment to show proper, accepted maintenance and testing protocols. 3). Is the electronic version required in addition to the hard copy or will the electronic be sufficient? Answer: An electronic version (via email) is required in addition to the hard copies. The proposals must be emailed to kala.shankar@nrc.gov by the due date and time specified in this amendment.
