- Description
- The United States Geological Survey (USGS), Western Ecological Research Center, intends to make a non-competitive award to Vantro Systems, LLC of Burnsville, Minnesota for a DC-powered, remotely deployed RFID system that will record the entrance and exit times and individual IDs among Hawaiian Petrel pairs. The proposed contractor, Vantro Systems, LLC, is the only known source that provides a multi-site, central computerized antenna array package (SQID) that includes a datalogger, 4-antennae, and customized sensors, and software to successfully record the attendance patterns among a sample of site attending Hawaiian Petrels. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled, "Acquisition of Commercial Items." In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(13)(i), other responsible sources that believe they can meet the requirement described above may submit a capability statement or quotation no later than the closing date of this announcement which will be considered by the USGS. All responses must be in writing, by e-mail to the Contracting Officer at sklingler@usgs.gov. This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-27, effective 17 October 2008.
