- Description
- This project consists of the construction of a commissary facility at Fort Bliss, Texas (El Paso County). The approximately 120,000 square foot commissary will be complete with a sales area, electronic checkout registers, receiving area, loading dock, meat and produce preparation areas, cold and freeze storage and other supporting areas. Exterior support includes tying into the existing utilities, services, and communication systems, and providing pavement for delivery trucks and car parking. Project will include walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, site improvements, and landscaping for a complete and usagle facility. Emergency building lighting and fire protection systems and mechanical space will be required. Accessibility for the physically handicapped will be required. Project will be constructed to satisfy current energy conservation policies, standards, and regulations as applicable. Force protection measures meeting minimum DoD standards must be included. Construction is sited in a area master planned as a Community Center. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 236220. The Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is $33,500,000. The Federal Supply Code is Y119, Construction and other administrative and service buildings. This project was previously posted under the sources sought notice using the solicitation number W9127S-08-R-6006. This project will utilize a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process where the best value is expected to result from selection of the technically acceptable proposal with the lowest evaluated price. The anticipated solicitation issue date is on or about 11 December 2008 with proposals being due on or about 26 January 2009. This solicitation and its associated information will be issued via Internet only and will not be made available in hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made via internet only as well. It is the contractors responsibility to check the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) for any posted changes to this solicitation. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the FBO website. Interested parties must register with FBO before downloading the solicitation documents.
