Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912P4-09-T-0008, Structural Steel Material Purchase. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal. This is being set aside for small business. NAICS code 332312 with a size standard of 500 employees. Description of Work The vendor is to provide structural steel material to the Army Corps of Engineers, Cleveland, OH Area Office on 5 January 2009. Steel to be supplied is stated as follows: Line Item 0001 - Pipe, 16” Outside Diameter, SCH 40, ASTM A-106 GR. B Seamless, In 3 Each 20 or 21 Foot Long Sections. (Quantity-3) Line Item 0002 - Steel Angle, 8’ X 8” X 1 1/8”, ASTM A-36, Supplied In 20 or 21 Foot Sections. (Quantity-12) Line Item 0003 - Steel Plate, 1”, ASTM A-36, 4’ X 4’ Sheet. (Quantity-1) Standard Clauses Apply By Reference: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications - Commercial Items 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders – Commercial Items By Full Text: 52.212-2 Evaluation – Commercial Items (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i. Price ii. Delivery Date * When evaluating bids, Price is relatively more important than Delivery Date. * (b) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer’s specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award. All contractors must be CCR registered. The Government anticipates making contract award NLT 17 December 2008.
