- Description
- The National Institutes of Health, Information Technology Branch intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b), with Immix Technology to provide support and maintenance for the Sourcefire 3D System. The Sourcefire 3D system provides intrusion detection and network discovery. Sourcefire Intrusion Sensors utilize rules-based detection engine, bringing the benefits of signature, protocol, and anomaly-based inspection methods to all varying network traffice speeds. In addition, Sourcefire RNA Sensors passively monitor a network to deliver highly detailed, real-time profiles of all network assets including their configuration, behavior, potential vulnerabilities and associated changes. By tightly integrating and correlating the threat information provided by Sourcefire Intrusion Sensors and Agents with the network intelligence provided by Sourcefire RNA Sensors. These actions follow the ABCs of Defense Alert, Block, Correct - all in real time to deliver the most effective security. Sourcefire offers technical assistance, assures the software is free from defects and will perform in accordance with its documentation, service requests, covers hardware failures, provides notification about new releases, alerts, patches and rules updates via email in addition to posting them on the support website, customer and product support services. The NAICS code is 334511. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Vendors who believe they can meet the requirement may provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by 10:00am EST, November 28, 2008. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Vendors must also provide references and show that competition would be advantegeous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested vendors must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Numbers. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Immix Technology.
