- The Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition and Procurement Office (WHS A&PO) intends to issue a solicitation for snow and ice removal services for the Pentagon Reservation. The Pentagon Building, the National Defense Headquarters, is located in Arlington, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, DC. The Pentagon Building is included on the National Register of Historic Places. The Pentagon Complex consists of the Pentagon Building, the Remote Delivery Facility, the Pentagon Heating and Refrigeration Plant and a variety of smaller support facilities. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform all the requirements in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) included in Solicitation Number HQ0034-08-R-1080. The acquisition will be classified under the North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 488490. This Acquisition is UNRESTRICTED - small or large businesses may compete. Award of a contract from this solicitation will result in an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract with a base year and four (4) one-year options. The estimated Base Year Period of Performance will be from 01 April 2009 through 31 March 2010. Please monitor this site for further information pertaining to this acquisition. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation. All firms wishing to submit a proposal subsequent to the solicitation described herein MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database as well as the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) database or risk their otherwise-timely proposal being considered non-responsive regardless of its completeness, timeliness or other salient considerations.
