- Description
- The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Polk, Louisiana is contemplating issuing an Invitation for Bid for the housing of male and female military prisoners from Fort Polk, Louisiana 71459. Sources sought are federally approved detention facilities within 50 miles of Fort Polk, LA. The resulting contract will be for 1-year base period beginning 1 January 2009 and ending 31 December 2009 and 4 one-year option periods if exercised. The Government reserves unilateral right to exercise any option periods. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 922140 and the Small Business Size Standard is $30,000,000.00. This will be unrestricted full and open competition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government, price and price related factors considered. The solicitation can be downloaded on or about 10 December 2008 from either the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at www.fedbizopps.gov or accessed via the Directorate of Contracting web site at http://www.jrtc-polk.army.mil/DOC/index/htm. It is the bidders responsibility to monitor either site for the release of the solicitation and amendments, if any. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site (FedBizOpps) mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the solicitation through their email addresses. The Director of Contractings webs site at Fort Polk does not offer the capability of automatic notification of solicitation for changes to the solicitation. No telephonic or facsimile requests will be accepted. Bids sent via the Postal or Fereral Express service should be mailed to should be sent to the Directorate of Contracting, 6661 Warrior Trail, Bldg 350 3rd Floor, Fort Polk, LA, 71459.
