- DEFENSE ENERGY SUPPORT CENTER FY09 ANNUAL FORECAST OF PETROLEUM ACQUISITIONS. In accordance with FAR 5.203(h) the following is the annual forecast of the general type and quantity of petroleum products the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) anticipates procuring during fiscal year 2009. BULK and PC&S (Total: 120,400,000 barrels): JP8 – 80,991,000 barrels DISTILLATES (F76, DFW) – 15,861,000 barrels JP5 – 10,974,000 barrels DIESEL – 9,791,000 barrels JP50, JA1, and JAA – 383,000 barrels MOGAS (UNLEADED) – 1,701,000 barrels RESIDUALS – 210,000 barrels MOGAS (LEADED) – 282,000 barrels JTS – 86,000 barrels GASOHOL – 39,000 barrels LUBRICANTS – 27,000 barrels JP4, JAB – 28,000 barrels AVGAS – 27,000 barrels INTOPLANE (Total: 4,400,000 barrels): JET FUEL COMMERCIAL GRADE – 4,400,000 barrels BUNKERS (Total: 3,200,000 barrels): DIESEL (MARINE) – 2,319,000 barrels RESIDUALS (INTERMEDIATE) – 603,000 barrels DISTILLATES (F76, DFW) – 278,000 barrels LOCAL PURCHASE and CASH (Total: 2,000,000 barrels): JP50, JA1, and JAA – 1,003, 000 barrels JP8 – 550,000 barrels MOGAS – 181,000 barrels DIESEL – 266,000 barrels This information is provided as a forecast only. Actual procurement quantities will be specified in the individual Invitations for Bid and Requests for Proposal issued by the various procurement offices within DESC.
