- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking qualified sources to provide the following Marine Thruster Z-Drives: (1) Starboard Ulstein Aquamaster Model 1350H, Part Number B8106242-001, Stock Number 2010-21-920-0919; (1) Port Ulstein Aquamaster Model 1350H, Part Number B8106242-002, Stock Number 2010-21-920-0899. Each Marine Thruster Z-Drive shall be manufactured, tested, inspected, preserved, packaged, packed and marked in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number P-245-0531 dated 06/2008; Coast Guard Specification Number D-000-0100, Revision G, dated 2/2006; Coast Guard Drawing Numbers - 175-WLM-240-051, Dated, 05/04/2001, Mechanical Modifications for tractor Controls; Coast Guard Drawing Numbers - 175-WLM-245-001 Rev. A, Dated 08/31/1998, Propeller; Coast Guard Drawing Numbers - 175-WLM-245-002 Rev. A, Dated 08/08/2007, Z-Drive Propeller Details, Modification Design. It is the Government's intent to award a fixed-price contract. Delivery of each manufactured Z-Drive shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. No information was submitted by other qualified candidates in response to the source sought posted on 10/27/08 in FedBizOpps. Therefore, we have concluded that Rolls Royce, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or their authorized distributors may submit a proposal, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation Number HSCG40-08-R-60007, and all related specifications and drawings, shall be available for download on or about December 15, 2008 from FedBizOpps. This date is estimated at best. Sources interested in receiving the solicitation are advised to periodically check FedBizOpps on or about this date for availability. Direct all inquiries regarding this acquisition to the contracting officials listed herein.
