- This is published as a sole source announcement under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 The U.S. Department of the Army, Tobyhanna Army Depot Contracting Office intends to solicit for the under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Fanix Software, 2 Carpenters Way, Forest Lake, Brisbanne QLD 4078, Australia for their proprietary Fanix As-U-Type" Medical Software licenses. Fanix As-U-Type" is a smart Operating System-level (client or desktop) real-time spell check and speed typing software that works with a users keyboard to increase typing accuracy and productivity. This software will support all Department of the Navy medical Treatment facilities that use the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AFHLTA).The basis for the sole source is the no other software has been determined to be fully compatible with the AFHLTA and other products used by Navy medicine and the requirement for an extensive medical vocabulary for accurate clinical documentation..
