Description
Services of an Architectural or Engineering firm with specialized experience in design and construction of primary care and outpatient clinic spaces in a 24/7 healthcare and medical environment, to participate in site investigation, design, preparation of working drawings/construction documents, and construction period services for Project 596A4-09-106, RENOVATE POLICE DISPATCH, at VA Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Project involves renovation of approximately 2000 square feet of floor space at VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division Clinic Addition for the use of the VA Police Service. Project will involve deisgn of a renovated dispatch center, four offices, one holding cell, one armory and other space. Estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Project will be accomplished in AutoCad.dwg format; specifications will be accomplished in Microsoft Word.doc format. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 100 miles radius of VAMC, Lexington, KY and is issued on an UNRESTRICTED basis (open to large and small business concerns) in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. NAICS 541310 with a small business size standard of $4.5 million is applicable. Interested firms, with required specialization, must submit three (3) copies of Standard Form 330, Architect-Engineer qualifications, to the issuing office no later than 1:00 p.m.. EST December 18, 2008. (Fed-ex or hand-carried submissions to be delivered to VA Medical Center, Attn: Angie Napier (90C), Bldg. 2, Rm. 206, 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511). Respondents will be reviewed on the basis of: professional qualifications; specialized experience and technical competence in projects of similar type; capacity to accomplish the work in the required timeframe; past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry for projects of similar type; team proposed for this project; previous experience of proposed team; project control (design schedule control and quality assurance reviews of submission documents); and estimating effectiveness. This is NOT a Request for Proposals. No solicitation package will be issued.
