- Future Opportunity Announcement: The Space and Naval Warfare SystemsCenter Atlantic requires the acquisitionof Communications Technology thatconsist of commercial off the shelf(COTS) equipment to fulfill theexplosive growth in new requirementsfor C4ISR support solutions. The purpose of this contract is toprovide rapid access of systemcomponents to be integrated intoturnkey solutions to a wide range ofstate-of-the-art Communicationstechnologies and to provide a highlevel of streamlined competition forhigh volume requirements and/ortailored solutions. This is a new procurement action and isnot intended as a follow-on to anyexisting contracts. The acquisitionstrategy is the requirement to be amultiple award contract, full and opencompetition, with an estimated value of$500 million over a five-year period.The planned contract type is IndefiniteDelivery, Indefinite Quantity, FirmFixed Price (IDIQ/FFP).
