- Description
- The U.S. Census Bureau intends to issue a sole source award to FiberGate, Inc. The purpose of the award is to acquire dark fiber optic cabling installation and maintenance support services, as needed, for Census Bureau facilities in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Services will be provided for a base period and 4 option periods from the date of contract award through 9-30-2013. The contract type will be T&M. The NAICS code is 517110. The government intends to solicit and negotiate the required services with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that respondent has the capability to provide the required services. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, if any, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse respondents for information they provide. Responses must be submitted to ACQ.ITSB@census.gov AND to the attention of Paulette Roseboro at paulette.s.roseboro@census.gov and must be received by 4:00 pm November 24, 2008.
