Description
FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire 200 Tool Free Bunkable Beds, (Patent Pending 1-Piece cold rolled U-channel with integrated pins), 100 Wardrobes 30"WX72" HX24"D with hat shelf, cloth rod and heavy duty hinges - Hasp Lock, and 200 Twin XL Mattresses, Nylon Anti-bacterial. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501 (a), a Sole Source Acquisition under the authority of the test program for certain commercial items. Delivery must begin on 26 Nov 2008 with complete shipment by 19 Dec 2008. These items are being purchased to match already existing furniture in the BEQ at the Naval Corps School, Great Lakes, IL. Based on Market Research it was determined that RT London is the only company that can meet the emergency delivery schedule with the exact matching requirements. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item ! acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, using Subpart 13.5 test program procedures. Award of a firm fixed contract is anticipated. All required deliverables shall be furnished within 30 days after date of contract award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and size standard for this procurement is 337124 and 500 employees respectively. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by sending challenges to David Moore at david.moore8@navy.mil. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all challenges to this sole source determination received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for ! the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
