Description
This solicitation is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, has a requirement for the construction of a concrete pad and shade which will support storage of anhydrous ammonia. The work is located in Yuma County, Arizona. The Solicitation is being issued on firm-fixed price basis. The anticipated solicitation issue date is on or about November 29, 2008, via electronic posting at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov but all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-ROM if the website becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Interested parties should register to receive e-mail notifications pertaining to the solicitation or visit the website after November 29, 2008, to download the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices to be included on the offerors list in order to encourage subcontracting and partnering/joint venture opportunities. There will be a site visit. A date has not yet been set. The firm date will be included in the RFP. It is strongly recommended that all prospective offerors make a site visit to examine the location of the work. Award will be made using best-value source selection procedures. Offerors will be asked to submit past performance information and cost proposal for the contract. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238110, and the corresponding size standard is $14.0 Million. An offer guarantee is also required. Performance and payment bonds will be required following award pursuant to the Miller Act. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. The solicitation and any amendments to the solicitation will be available through the Internet site. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database may make an offeror ineligible for award. The Central Contractor Registration Handbook and information on the registration process can be obtained via the CCR website, http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
