- NAICS: 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS Department of the Air Force, Direct Reporting Unit, USAF Academy - 10 LGC/LGCA, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy, CO 80840-2315. DESCRIPTION This acquisition is to provide elevator modernization for Elevator #1 at the Cadet Field House at the United States Air Force Academy. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, parts, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to perform modernization to freight elevator #1 at the Cadet Field House. Modernization may include but is not limited to the elevator pit, pit related equipment, pit floor, bottom and top clearances and runby of elevator car, equipment projecting above the car top, hydraulic jack, jack supporting structure, hydraulic connections, cylinder, cylinder packing, cylinder connecting couplings, valves, pressure piping, fittings, flexible hydraulic connections and muffler, buffers and buffer supports, machine room, machine room related equipment, machine room electrical equipment, wiring, piping, car enclosure, car ceiling, car ceiling panels, car door or gate, car illumination, car light fixtures, car floor, car frame and platforms, capacity and loading plates, rated load of elevator, guide rail, guide rail supports and fastenings, guide rail shoes, hydraulic machine (Power Unit) and tank, terminal stopping devices, operating devices and control equipment, electrical protective devices, emergency operation and signaling devices, emergency telephone communication system, emergency lighting system, power pack, emergency light fixtures, remote light fixtures, firefighters service Phase I and II, proper identification tags and plates, symbols, strut angles, elevator controller, relays, drives, car slings, bearings, replacement or refurbishing of hoistway doors and hoistway frames, door rollers, hanger track, car operating panel, emergency stop switch, emergency signal, hall call station, audible signals, commandeering switch, direction arrows/lanterns, safety edge, and all equipment related to the proper operation and safety of the elevator. The National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) proposed is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors. This requirement is unrestricted (full and open) in accordance with the Small Business Demonstration Program. The small business size standard is $14 million. The solicitation will be issued on FedBizOps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies of the solicitation, specifications, plans, mailing lists or associated solicitation documents will be issued from this office. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All interested parties must register on the FedBizOps website in order to receive notification or changes and/or new postings to the solicitation. There will be no further pre-announcement of when the solicitation will be posted, however, the issuance date is anticipated on or around 1 December 2008 with a closing date 30 days after issuance. A site visit will be scheduled within 10 calendar days after posting the solicitation. Potential offerors are reminded that in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004 all contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to conduct business with the Department of Defense (DoD). Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
