- AMENDMENT #0001 HAS BEEN ATTACHED. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE WITH BIDS. 11/14/08 SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, AND DRAWINGS ATTACHED 11/08/2008 PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ADDED BY MODIFICATION TO THIS NOTICE. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify firms capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to clean and paint Round Island Passage Light at USCG Station St. Ignace, MI. Major work items include: Remove glazing from portholes and form windows in upper section of the tower and clean frame openings. Power and hand tool clean the lighthouse and underlying surfaces and all waste shall be treated as lead containing material. Paint using zinc-rich primer, two-component epoxy intermediate coats and polyurethane top coat. The contractor must perform a minimum of 25% of the work with its own workforce. The NAICS for this project is 238320 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14.0M. Vendors interested in performing this requirement are invited to provide the following information to USCG CEU Cleveland (Attn: Ms. Wolfe) no later than COB 10/13/08. The information may be submitted via email to the Contract Specialist at verona.m.wolfe@uscg.mil or faxed to 216-902-6278. Responses shall include the following information: Reference number HSCG83-09-B-3WT011, Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number and Email Address; Business Size (large/small) Disadvantaged Status, 8(A) status, Small disabled veteran owned business, and/or HUBZone status and evidence that the contractor has performed similar projects (past performance history). NO TELEPHONE, WRITTEN NOTIFICATIONS OR REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS will be honored. When available, the resultant pre-solicitation notice and solicitation will be posted at this website. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government Reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(A), or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement.
