- Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to award a sole source contract to Alliant Techsystems (ATK), 3309 N. Reseda Circle, Mesa, AZ 85215-9103, for the procurement of 30mm PGU 15/B Target Practice (TP) ammunition, which will be used to test the MK 44 gun system on the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV). These links will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM) under a competitively awarded contract to link 30mm PGU-15/BTP rounds. The interface between the MK 44 gun system and MK 15 link is critical to the proper function of the MK 44 gun system. ATK has retained all rights and control of the MK 44 gun and MK 15 link technical data to insure that the proper interface is maintained between the two. Links that are procured for the United States Navy (USN) and United States Marines Corps (USMC) must be produced in accordance with ATK technical data for proper function. ATK owns and maintains the design and technical documentation for both the MK 4! 4 gun and 30 mm MK 15 link. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Numbered Note 22 applies to this acquisition.
