- RFP-CO9050/NAC Contract No. CO9050 Replacement Of Royal Street MetroBus Garage The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (The Authority) is requesting Statement of Qualifications from entities, referred herein as “Submitters” interested in submitting proposals for the Replacement of the Royal Street Bus Garage located in Northern Virginia, referred herein as the “Project”. The Authority will use a two-phase procurement process to select a Design-Build -Finance Contractor to deliver the Project. This Request For Proposals (RFP) is issued as the first phase of the procurement process. The Authority will evaluate the Phase 1 proposals to determine which Submitters are the most highly qualified to successfully deliver the Project. The Authority intends to short-list the four most highly qualified Submitters who will be eligible to submit technical and price proposals in response to the phase two RFP to be issued later. The selected Design-Build -Finance Contractor shall finance all aspects of the Project including locating and providing the new Bus Facility site. This site must be large enough to accommodate structures (Must be LEED Silver Certified) - which shall be designed and built in accordance with the Authority’s Design Criteria- for 100 Buses with the capability to expand to 250 Buses; Bus wash down and service areas; Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) accommodations; and employee parking. The Phase One Proposals are due December 22, 2008.
