- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health intends to Issue a purchase order on a sole source basis with: Oshkosh Capitol., 155 East Broad Street., Columbus OH 43215. No solicitation exists for this Requirement. The equipment is commercial as defined in FAR part 2. The total contracted dollar amount will not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold; therefore it will be procured under FAR 13.106. It is believed that Oshkosh Capital is the sole source for this requirement Under the authority of FAR Parts 13.106-1 (b) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1 The fire truck shall include all necessary accessories and features noted below in order for the NIH to perform specific duties: Equipment must be Pierce Dash 100ft Platform Equipment must have front bumper extension of 22” Equipment must have aluminum wheels front and rear Equipment must contain map box with 30 degree slant Equipment must have windows defrost fans Equipment must have mechanical siren Equipment must have kussmaul 20/20 battery charger Equipment must have 1000 watt fire research focus Equipment must have 15kw generator/pto driven Equipment must have waterous 2000 gpm pump Equipment must be rustproofing complete body/cab Equipment must have interspiro air masks Equipment must have mount 12ft roof ladder Equipment must have fiberglass handles Equipment must have moisture ejector for air tanks Equipment must have remote start for generator at turntable Equipment must have monitors, aerial dual Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement Or submit capability statements to the Contract Specialist by November 14th, 2008 at 1PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
