- This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source award to Heidelberg, USA, Inc., 1000 Gutenberg Dr. NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144-7028 for the following supplies for Heidelberg Quickmaster, Direct Image Pro Offset Presses, Model 46-4, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Requirement: CLIN 0001 Blanket CN2000290 (5/Box) 48 Boxes CLIN 0002 Plate Material #SU45CN2000851 24 Boxes CLIN 0003 Wash-Up Cloths #A4.207.801F/03 30 Boxes CLIN 0004 Felts #A4.205.014 30 Boxes These items must be purchased from Heidelberg USA because the items are specifically made for the Heidelberg 46-4 DI Presses at Ft. Bragg The current presses have been in use for the past four years and purchasing the correct equipment to keep them maintained will allow an even longer life. Any other item other than what is listed above may allow the risk of damage to the presses. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses are due no later than Tuesday, 13 November 2008, 12:00 PM EST.
