Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Health Care System (NYHHCS) has a requirement for onsite Mammography Services. It is anticipated that one firm-fixed price, best value contract will be awarded for the period of date of award through September 30, 2009 with four one-year options to renew, subject to the Government's discretion and subject to availability of funds. Services are to be provided at Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare Brooklyn campus. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition procedures. This procurement is set aside for 100% small business. The applicable NAICS code is 621111. The solicitation will be available on November 7, 2008 with responses due on November 21, 2008. All questions to be submitted in writing by e-mail or fax. 1.Introduction and Scope of Work: VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, New York 11209, subsequently referred to as VA NYHHHS, currently seeks contractor to provide mammography backup services to staff radiologists. Backup services will ensure planned absences of staff radiologists do not adversely affect patient wait times for mammograms and other breast care services. Future VA NYHHS needs may include up to 2 days per week regular onsite contract radiologist coverage. 2.Requirements: All radiologists providing services under this contract must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and must meet all current MQSA and FDA qualification requirements, including having taught or completed 15 Category 1 CME Credits in mammography in the previous 36 months and having interpreted or multi-read at least 960 mammographic examinations during the previous 24 months. The Contractor shall provide copies of current certification documentation, and renewal documentation, when applicable. Copies of such documentation shall be sent to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) and the Radiology Department of the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System.
