- The proposed contract action is one for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is Heckler & Koch Defense Inc., CAGE 3HN73, 21480 Pacific Blvd., Sterling VA 20166. The items to be procured are 2,000 each of an estimated 95 unique and various spare parts to support initial fielding of the M320/M320A1 Grenade Launcher. The proposed contract will have two option periods wherein the Government may procure up to an additional 100% quantity of each item in each option period. The M320/M320A1 Grenade Launcher was Type Classified Standard (STD) by the US Army on 6 November 2008. These items are proprietary to Heckler & Koch Defense Inc. Heckler & Koch is the only supplier that can insure inventory interchangeability of these items and the only supplier that can provide the Government with these fully interchangeable spare parts in support of First Unit Equipped (FUE) actions scheduled to begin in 2d QTR FY09. Estimated issue date of solicitation is 12 December 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hard copies will not be provided. There is no Technical Data available for these items. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
