Description
Bids are being solicited under solicitation number RQ-09-0013. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. If your company can provide the product/services listed on the solicitation and comply with all of the solicitation instructions, please respond to this notice. To view the specifications, please go to www.FedBid.com and reference Buy No. 98272. GSA Schedule Bids Preferred, But Not Required: Sellers may either provide a GSA Schedule or an Open Market bid. If bidding with a GSA Schedule, the requested items must be on that Schedule. The Schedule must either be in the Seller's name or the Seller must be able to document its ability to act as an agent of a partner's Schedule. Sellers may offer Open Market items only in accordance with the approved Terms and Conditions of their respective GSA Schedule AND upon approval from the soliciting Contracting Officer. Information regarding GSA Schedules can be found at www.GSA.gov. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified sellers may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2008-11-10 15:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Washington, DC 20005 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. requires the following items, Exact Match Only, to the following: LI 001, IPS Mid-range scanner maintenance for 12 Bell & Howell 8090D Scanners.Period of performance is 1/1/2009 - 12/31/20094 hour response time (5X12X4)2 Preventive maintenance services per scanner per yearConsummables provided as needed and invoiced accordingly (see line 2), 1, EA; LI 002, Consumables:Provide as needed and invoice against line 2.This line is for consumables/parts that are approved and provided as part of the scanner maintenance., 1, EA; LI 003, The contractor shall provide hardware remedial on-call maintenance and preventive maintenance (2 per scanner per year) during the principle period of maintenance (PPM) Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm, local time, excluding government holidays, respond within four (4) hour after a maintenance call is placed and complete repairs within 48 hours (separate list of equipment locations and serial numbers is provided). Provide telephone support and perform on-site maintenance, including any adjustments and/or replacements of parts and consumables, excluding imprinter ink cartridges. Detail of what is considered covered under consumables for the Bell & Howell 8090D:Lamps/bulbs, glass flat, skimmer assembly, separator rollers, cleaning sheets, rubber tire cleaner, white rubber tires Consumables are to be provided as needed and invoiced on a separate CLIN. Bill monthly in arrears and invoice consumables/parts on a separate CLIN with the monthly bill when they are provided. Additional scanners may be added and maintenance cost will be prorated to coincide to the period of the current contract. Equipment may be removed from maintenance at any time and the contract amount reduced accordingly. Equipment may be moved to new locations as needed; an update of the inventory with the new location will be provided to the contractor. In-Warranty pricing will be provided for scanners that are still under the manufactures warranty. The contractor is an authorized repair center, with trained, certified technicians. The contractor can provide evidence that it has an agreement with the manufacturer to ensure parts availability., 1, EA; For this solicitation, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. A Seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. is taking this action in an effort to improve both seller access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids. All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Sellers that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration. Sellers may not artificially manipulate the price of a transaction on www.FedBid.com by any means.
