- This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes only for purposes of conducting market research. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has a requirement for supply, cleaning, and delivery/pickup of Contractor provided fire resistant (FR) coveralls at Hoover Dam. The Contractor shall provide coveralls on a weekly basis which must be fire resistant (FR), long sleeve, gripper and zipper front, two front pockets, two patch pockets, two chest pockets, side vent openings, to be worn over clothes, and meet the FR arc rating 8.2 or better, hazard risk category 2 requirements. The FR label must be readily visible. Reclamation anticipates awarding a new contract prior to February 1, 2009. The proposed contract will be firm-fixed price with four one-year option periods. The acquisition will be conducted under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 812332, Industrial Launders, and the small business size standard is $14M. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region is seeking responsible sources having the capabilities to supply the coveralls. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, and management capabilities of such offerors to perform this type of requirement. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. Capability statements are to be submitted not later than November 14, 2008. The capabilities package submitted should demonstrate the firm's experience and capability to provide the principal components of the requirement listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1) Provide business name, address, business size, and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. (2) Demonstrate the firm's experience by providing a list of projects completed where the work performed was compatible to the work required above. Experience should also include dollar values related to the projects or contracts. Additionally, for each project listed, provide the following: dollar value of the job, the project name, project location, and the customer's contact name and phone number for the work completed. When it is determined that a formal solicitation will be issued, a pre-solicitation notice will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
