- Description
- Construct an Elementary School, pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, located at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. The project involves the construction of a new elementary school to accommodate a student population of 600. The school will be reinforced concrete/steel and will include general purpose classrooms, art classroom, music classroom, computer labs, gymnasium, multipurpose room with stage and kitchen, specialist's rooms, information center, administrative offices, teacher work rooms, and supply/storage rooms. The school will incorporate advanced communications systems to support technology program requirements, as well as general communications. In addition to the building, the project will provide necessary utility connections, spaces for parking, bus loading/unloading area, playground, sports facilities, signage, fencing, landscaping, and security lighting. The construction cost range is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Proposals will be evaluated and awarded utilizing the Best Value Process and will not necessarily be awarded to the lowest price. The proposal evalution criteria consists of the following factors: Prime Contractor Experience, Past Performance, and Managemenent. Each of these factors will have subfactors to be evaluated. Price and Pro Forma Information will also be required to meet the minimum requirements of the solicitation. All evaluation factors, other than price, when combined, are approximately equal to the price. Contract duration is 450 days. The solicitation will be issued on or about 20 November and proposals will be due on or about 23 December 2008. This solicitation is open to all business sizes and will include a HubZone price evaluation preference. The NAICS code is 236220, size standard is $31 million. The project documents will be available by download from the Internet only. Downloading of the project documents requires registration at the FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov. This announcement serves as the advanced notice for this project. Amendments will be available from the FedBizOpps website download only.
