- The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office (FISC) intent is to process this procurement on a sole source basis to Renaissance Washington DC Hotel, Washington DC. FISC's intent is to issue a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) procedures. The Period of Performance is from 29 November 2008 through 5 December 2008. FISC intends to procure Lodging for the Navy attendees at the Joint Services Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JSGMESB). The Assistant Secretary of Defense Health Affairs (ASD (HA) has determined the JSGMESB will be held at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel, therefore the lodging for the attendees is to be at the same hotel. Due to the ASD (HA) and Navy Surgeon General mandated scheduled early start of events that occur during this selection board, and many hours of after-hour work necessary to complet! e records review and formal deliberations to meet established report-out schedules and to attend required special event meetings, participants must stay as the hotel to be available when required. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed-priced contract to satisfy the requirement. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a capability statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received by 12 November 2008 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determin! ing whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number is N00189-09-T-Z014 and the applicable NAICS code is 721110.
