F100 SEAL, METALLIC AIRCRAFT SOL SPRTA1-09-Q-0102 Item 0001 NSN: 2840-00-331-5572 NZ, P/N: 4001528. Item Description: Length: 5.49 IN x Width: 5.49 IN x Height:.402 Weight: 5lbs. Material: Nickel Alloy Function: Item is a component part of the no. 2 bearing, seal and support area core module rear compressor. FMS REQUIREMENT Applicable to: F100-PW-100/-220/-220 Engine Delivery: DNE002 2 ea On or Before 31 Aug 09; DIS002 21 ea On or Before 30 Oct 09 Quantity: L/I 0001 2 ea; L/I 0001AA 21 ea New Material Solicited. New/Unused Government Surplus may be considered. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 20 November 2008. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 5 December 2008. The anticipated award date will be 30 January 2009. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download only at www.fbo.gov. It is anticipated that this requirement is sole-source to United Technologies since they are considered the only current approved source. Non-approved sources wishing to submit a bid may do so; however, only qualified sources will be considered for award. First Articles may be required from newly approved sources. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. EXPORT CONTROL ITEMS : Foreign owned firms are advised to contact the Contracting Officer or Program Manager before submitting a proposal to determine whether there are restrictions on receiving an award. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
