Description
This project includes all work associated with the Replacement of Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) with Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) for Runways 17 and 35 at Roswell International Air Center in Roswell, New Mexico. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: 1.Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout the subject sites and provide horizontal and vertical control. 2.Install PAPI facilities, including:a.Furnish and install reinforced concrete foundationsb.Furnish and install Earth Electrode System (EES).c.Furnish and install conduit and cabling.d.Furnish and install concrete pads around PAPI equipment.e.Furnish and install concrete and crushed rock surfaced access roads.f.Install Government Furnished PAPI systems.g.Trench and install power cable in armored HDPE duct from PAPI sites to existing step-down transformers. Replace disconnect switch at existing step-down transformers. 3. Remove existing VASI equipment, turn VASI equipment over to COTR, and dispose of foundations off airport property. Restore sites to match adjacent existing conditions. 4. Install and maintain erosion control measures to protect ditches and inlets. 5. Accomplish other incidental duties to accommodate site peculiar conditions. 6. Implement and maintain a quality control plan to ensure contract compliance. Conduct all required tests and checks to verify contract compliance. Time: 45 Calendar Days Estimated Cost: Between $200,000 - $400,000 NACI: 237990 Size Standards: $33.5 Million This is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE project. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
