Description
NASA/ARC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for theconstruction of a Collaborative Support Facility, Building N232. NASA Ames ResearchCenter plans to construct a new building to be located on the existing Bush Circle atMoffett Field, California. The building and the on-site work shall be constructed assustainable entities. The project is being designed with a goal to achieve LEED-NC v2.2Platinum Certification. The requirements for sustainable construction will be containedthroughout the contract documents. The new facility will consist of a two (2) storystructural steel framed building of approximately 50,000 square feet. This building willinclude primarily open office area for approximately 220 existing Ames personnel thatwill be relocated to the facility. The building is comprised of two separate wings, two(2) stories each with mechanical penthouses on the roofs. In addition to the open officespace, the building includes a glass wall atrium, accessible restrooms, a lunchroom,elevator, and mechanical/electrical support areas. Construction also includes completeheating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems utilizing ground source heat pumps,electrical and data communications to support the building operations, photovoltaic powerand solar hot-water systems, fire detection and suppression systems, an advanced lightingsystem, and security systems. The construction project also includes site preparationand site utilities; installation of approximately 60 geothermal wells, new roadways andparking, California native landscaping, hardscaping, and the development of a site stormwater management system. Period of performance is 18 months after receipt of the noticeto proceed. Estimated construction cost is over $10 million.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sitesfor the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Large and Small Businesses may respond with only a letter of interest.SmallDisadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses mustrespond with the following: name and address of firm; size of business; average annualrevenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are SmallDisadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses; number ofyears in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, and/orpotential teaming partners; list of customers covering the past five years (highlightrelevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of eachprocurement, performance evaluation rating, and owners point of contact - address andphone number); and bonding limitations per project and aggregate.
