- The purpose of this amendment 0001 to RFP W25G1V-09-R-0001 is to add information to the Salient Features Para; 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4, to clarify number of composition standards required, to answer offeror questions, and to extend the response date of the solicitation. 1)Salient Features, Para.4.2: ADD: The one set of material composition standards for Bismuth(Bi), Tin(Sn), Copper(Cu), and Silver(Ag) are pure (99.999%) samples. 2)Salient Features, Para 4.3: ADD: The Sn/Pb foil should have a thickness of 150(+/-10%), 200(+/- 10%), and 300(+/-10%). 3) Salient Features, Para 4.4: ADD: The Sn foil should have a thickness of 150(+/-10%), 200(+/- 10%), and 300(+/-10%). 4)Clarification to Salient Features Para; 4.2, 4.3, 4.4; The requirement is for ONE SET ONLY of each of the specified composition standards at 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4. 5)Offeror question received with the Government Response: Question: NIST Traceable would CRMs that are accredited by NAMAS (National Measurement Accreditation Scheme) be acceptable? Answer: The NAMAS (National Measurement Accreditation Scheme) organization does not exist. However the NAMAS (National Measurement Accreditation Service) did exist and has been transformed into the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in 1995. The UKAS accreditation of laboratories is based on an international standard, ISO 17025:2005, entitled General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories'. A direct traceable link to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is still required. 6)Response Date is changed from 4:00 PM local 11-05-2008 to 4:00 PM local 11-10-2008. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
