Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-09-T-5040, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. NAICS 811219 applies. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not applicable. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Virginia Beach, VA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for technical services of a qualified marine repair firm specialized in shipboard Gauge and instrument calibration and repairs for calibrating varios pressure gauges, thermometers and electrical meters throughout the ship for the USNS Mercy. A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1.Contractor shall provide all labor, material, hardware, staging if required and tools to accomplish this work. Ship’s tools shall not be used during this work. 2.Contractor may calibrate instruments in shop if necessary. 3.Locations and a list shall be provided to contractor upon contract award. 4.New TRANSPERANT calibration stickers with date of calibration and expiation dates marked shall be installed on all gauges calibrated. B. STATEMENT OF WORK: 1.Calibrate out of date 150 various gauges and 6 switchboard electrical meters in machinery spaces. 2.Update ships Gauge List with new dates.
