Description
U.S. Government Seeks Sources for Leasing United States Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery San Diego, CA Project No. 7CA2344 AMOUNT: The General Services Administration (GSA) desires to lease approximately 22,674 rentable square feet of office and related space yielding a minimum of 19,716 ANSI/BOMA Office Area (ABOA) (previously usable) square feet to a maximum of 20,702 ABOA. The offered building should include the ability to provide a combination of office, general storage and lab space. The lease must also provide for 150 outside reserved parking spaces. TENANT: United States Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery LOCATION: The area of consideration is in San Diego, CA within the area bounded by Highway 52 on the North; Interstate 8 on the South; Via Valarta, Clairemont Mesa, Manley St., Aero Dr., and Interstate 15 on the East, and Genesee Ave., and Interstate 163 on the West. REQUIRED: The space must be in an office building preferably located on the ground floor and section of the city that is professional and prestigious in appearance, well-maintained and of modern design and/or tastefully rehabilitated to modern use with access to public transportation. The tenant is the United States Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (USN-BUMED). The tenant requires a large amount of parking for employees and patients. The space must meet or be capable of being altered to meet the Government's requirements for ADA compliance, and seismic safety. Offers for new construction will require the building to be set-back from the street. There should be, as determined by the GSA Contracting Officer, adequate public parking, public transportation, eating facilities, and other services such as retail shops, banks, and cleaners in the area.
