- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command anticipates awarding a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to BAE Systems, Elettra Avenue, Waterlooville, Hants, PO 7 7XS for a period of five years. The services and supplies to be provided include materials, services, and documentation necessary to receive, evaluate, inspect, maintain, disassemble, repair, overhaul, refurbish, assemble and test the Common Neutralizer. BAE Electronics Limited is the designer, developer and sole producer of the common Neutralizer. Common Neutralizer procured from BAE is the only system currently available which meets the requirements of the U.S. Navy. The BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), which provides that full and open competition is not required when only one source is available to satisfy agency requirements. The BOA allows for placement of firm-fixed price (FFP) and Cost Reimbursement (CR) type contract orders. This synopsis is for ! informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source indentified herein.
