- Description
- The U.S. Dept of Commerce, Marine Engineering Division, 439 West York Street, Norfolk, VA has a requirement to provide garbage and recycling pickup for the period November 1, 2008, or date of award, whichever is later, through October 31, 2009, plus four one-year options. Vendor will supply two (2) 8 cubic yard dumpster (CYD) container for collection of garbage and one (1) 8 CYD container for recycling. This acquisition will be issued as an RFQ and awarded as a firm-fixed price order under simplified acquisition procedures. This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov, and obtain (and provide with the offer) a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505. The FSC for this is S205 and NAICS Code is 562119, small business size standard is $11.5 million dollars. If any recycle rebate to the Government is provided, please state what percentage is returned for proceeds from recyclable sales to include, but not be limited to, all paper, cardboard, all types of metal cans, all glass bottles and plastic bottles. The proceeds from the sale of the recyclables should reflect the current commodity prices for those recyclable materials. Contractor shall submit to the government all generated revenues and commodity sales receipts from the pick-up and direct sale of recyclables as stated above. The contractor shall offset the invoice for waste collection with revenue generated from recycling. No Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating assigned.
