- This is a presolicitation synopsis for managerial/administrative support in planning and execution of an Industry Day Conference for the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC). DESC intends to host a two-day conference in Anchorage, Alaska to promote the government use of synthetic fuels in the state. Duties include working with the conference committee in developing a conference plan of action, milestones and conference agenda; developing a communications and media plan; developing and printing conference marketing material; setting up and taking down the conference site; and assisting with on-site conference admin. The anticipated performance period for this work is December 1, 2008 through February 20, 2009. Work shall be performed at the contractor’s site and at the conference site in Anchorage, Alaska. All responsible sources are invited to submit offers once the solicitation SP0600-09-R-0500 is issued on or around November 6, 2008. DESC anticipates conducting negotiations with offerors submitting proposals under the subject solicitation listed above but reserves the right to make contract award based on initial offers submitted. This will be a small business set-aside.
